Eirene Goldens (pronounced I-Ray-Nay) comes from the Greek word meaning "Peace" . Marjean Verseveldt of Sherwood Park, Alberta has had much success with this small breeding program. Marjean only houses one or two dogs and chooses when to breed once every few years. I have had the incredible opportunity to have presented the Eirene Goldens for the past fifteen years. During the past seven years, not only have I had my name down as handler , but as a breeder and owner as well on selected Eirene litters. Marjeans accomplishments with her dogs boasts of an amazing resume of having bred 51 Best in Show winners (On seven different dogs) as well as 54 Best Puppy In Show winners. (On seventeen different puppies) To Date Eirene holds the record for both dogs and bitches and in our breed, for the number of Best in Shows accumulated not only for lifetime, but for one year - SDHF points earned in one year, and highest ranked Goldens in the CKC system. This is held by siblings Tom and Bobbi. If you are interested in any of our dogs pedigrees or clearances, they can be found on K9 Data. In 2008 Marjean retired from active breeding. The Eirene' kennel name was then passed on to myself to continue. I have some big foot steps to follow.... And now let me introduce you to some of our favorites....
