***LITTER PLANS FOR 2012***

Breeding / litter plans for 2012 , fluctuate almost daily, sorry to be so vague guys but when I have 3 females to pick from, with the "time sensitive" breedings I am hoping to do with each of them in the near future and with the fact that as is normal, all 3 of these ladies will come in season at the same time....I am not sure exactly who will be bred and which breedings will take place this year, which will take place here at Camp Joyso, which may take place at in Kathy's care at Sonyc.
I know that must be frustrating for you puppy buyers, but Mother Nature, sometimes just makes decisions difficult!

2012 will see Joyso Sonyc Here We Go Lucy Lu  "Lucy" return to the chore of being a mama after having a rest up from her first litter.
Plans are for Lucy to be bred late spring / early summer when she is due to come in season.

Kathy Carbone, of Sonyc Golden Retrievers and I are very excited about this breeding as it allows for line breeding on a part of Lucy's mother's pedigree.
(see Sonyc Golden Retrievers web site link on my links page)
Hopefully, this breeding will give Kathy the Tweet son she is missing in her life.
Tweet is to Kathy what Revel was to me....a very special boy, her heart boy.

If this litter happens here at Camp Joyso, Puppies from this litter will be sold for $1,000.00
If you have any interest in this litter please do not hesitate to contact me.
If this litter takes place at Sonyc Golden Retrievers, interested puppy buyers should contact Kathy.
If this litter takes place in Kathy's care I will be going to Kathy's,when the litter is 8 weeks old  to bring Lucy & a puppy for myself home with me.

This year could also see Pebbles bred.
(but only if Lucy has her litter at Kathy's place)
There are a couple of options for studs which I am presently researching.
When / if plans get firmed up, I will post the details here.

This is the year with Shaker being 3 1/2, I have to decide if I am going to breed my lovely red head, or if I am going to place her in an equally lovely companion home.
Shaker has so many great traits to offer but with her old fasioned Golden Retriever type, I am having a difficult time finding just the right boy for her.
If I do find Mr Right for Shaker and do decide to breed her, I will post the details here.

All of these ladies should come in season in the June / July 2012 time range, with pups being born 2 months from then August / September 2012 time range and then ready to go to their new homes October / November..ish.

I wish I could be more concrete, I know this kind of vague information will be frustrating to those trying to find a puppy, but for now it is the best I can offer.

=====================================================================
At Joyso Golden Retrievers a great deal of research & planning, time & energy, and of course love & caring goes into each litter produced. As a result there are not a lot of litters produced here.
There have been a total of 14 litters of Golden Retriever puppies produced at Joyso Golden Retrievers in my 20 + years of breeding Golden Retrievers.
The Golden Retrievers I use for breeding purposes have successfully made it through my stringent selection process.
The very basic of which is the passing of the required health clearances of, hips & elbows, hearts & eyes.
When planning any breeding I look for and demand that all the dogs, for many generations behind the breeding, have also passed these health checks. In my mind, this makes for better chances of my producing Golden Retrievers that will also be healthy in these areas.

I also take a serious look at the longevity of the dogs in the pedigrees behind any Golden Retriever I am looking at using for breeding purposes.
When planning any breeding I research the pedigrees to try and bring together ones that contain a large percentage of Golden Retrievers who have lived into their teens. Obviously every pedigree will contain dogs who have not lived into their teens, but I do my best to ensure there are more who have lived longer to try and counter balance those who have not.

Just as important, to me, is any Golden Retriever I consider for breeding purposes must possess the characteristic that has become the hallmark of the Golden Retriever breed, the characteristic that has attracted most people to the breed, the wonderful Golden Retriever temperament. Without this you do not have a Golden Retriever, you simply have a golden coloured dog.

The puppies I bring into this world are here only because I made the decision to bring them here therefore the choices I make, as far as the families they will eventually live with, are very important to me.
It is my desire to do the best I can to ensure that my puppies and their families have long and enjoyable lives together.
Just as the choice of which families, I will accept to have a Joyso puppy become a member of their family, is an important one, the same emphasis is placed on which puppy I will choose for them to take home with them to become that new family member.
The matching up of puppies with families is such an important task, it determines the quality of life both will  have hopefully for years to come, that I cannot leave it to chance or in anyone's hands except my own.
After spending 24 / 7 with my puppies, before they are ready to go to their new homes, no one knows them better then I do.
Hopefully, after spending a great deal of time with the people wishing to purchase one of my puppies, I will have gotten to know them very well also.
With your input about your family, your history with canine companions and my observations, you will leave here with just the right puppy to fill your lives with joy and happiness rather then one difficulty after another. After all, if things do not go well, that is not a good situation for you or the puppy!
When you put these two facts together, it becomes very clear that it is best for me to choose which puppy is best suited for which family.
There are no 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc picks here at Camp Joyso, except, of course, for any that I may wish to keep to help further my breeding program :-)
Those who tell me they would like a boy, will leave with a boy that I feel best suits them.
Those who tell me they would like a girl, will leave with a girl that I feel best suits them.
Since starting this selection process, after my first litter, I have only had 1 puppy returned to me, so I must be doing something right :-)

By the time Joyso Golden Retriever puppies are ready to go to their new homes they will have been:
1) vet checked and a report from this exam is sent home with you to take to your vet.
2) given their 1st set of vaccinations.
3) wormed at least 3 times @ 3, 5 & 7 weeks of age, these puppies do not leave my home with worms.
4) identified via tattooing, I prefer this to microchipping, as scanners can vary and chips can migrate, but a tattoo, when done properly stays where it is done and is always legible.

All Joyso Golden Retrievers leave here with a written 3 year warranty and a lifetime of after purchase support.

ALL JOYSO GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPIES ARE SOLD ON SPAY / NEUTER CONTRACTS AND CKC NON BREEDING AGREEMENTS
