Tragically we lost our beautiful Ellie, four days before her 14th birthday. What a stunning ambassador for the bred she was! She gave so much but asked so little in return. She will be very sadly missed. A once in a lifetime bitch.

Bred in NZ by the renowned golden retriever breeders Margaret and David Hean of 'Arangold Golden Retrievers', she was born to be a star.

Sent back to her breeders in 1991 to be mated to her paternal grandfather 'Sean'
(NZ GRAND CHAMPION CHARTERHALL GAELIC GOLD) Ellie gained her NZ CH title in a little under 6 weeks.

Along the way she won Bitch CC and Runner up Best In Show at the Southern Golden Retriever Club Show with 'Sean' taking out Best in Show!

She was awarded the Bitch CC (aged 8 years of age) under world renowned author and breed specialist Mrs Valerie Foss (UK) ('Elswood') at the Tasmanian Gundog Specialty and her son
AUSTRALIAN GRAND CHAMPION KAPARLA STAR PROSPECT won Dog CC and Runner up Best in Show. Ellie was also awarded Bitch CC and Best of Breed at the Westbury Agricultural Show under Mrs Sandra Patterson (Aust) ('Buffalo').

She produced five outstanding Champions:
