This pretty little girl comes from ROSE ACRES LIL' HERDERS bred by
STEPHENIE ROSE.
It took a lot to convince Stephenie that she should send 'Layla' to our home instead of keeping her to herself!!!
We are so very grateful to Stephenie... Thank you.
We will be showing Layla in 2009.
Can it get any better?!!!

This past Mother's Day 'Jade' and I went to our first IABCA dog show, well our first show ever! Heidi Saling of Coat Tail Aussies showed Jade the ropes of the show ring and did it extremely well... Jade now has her National and International Puppy Championship Titles!!!
We are so proud of our little girl and are on a countdown to the TASAA Nationals this Fall.
~~~
Cindy Shaykett of Boot Top Aussies let me show one of her puppies in 3 out of 4 shows that weekend so that I could gain some much needed showing experience. 'Libby' also earned her National & International Puppy Championship Titles that weekend! This is the caliber of Toy/Mini Aussies that are being bred/raised that can earn their titles in one weekend, how exciting!!!
We're busting at the seams...!
It seems that with every endeavor a person gets involved with in life there are a certain amount of dues you must pay. What a person is ultimately paying for is experience. With experience comes invaluable knowledge. Gaining these pieces that take so long to acquire, leadership can then take shape.
I love to have several 'irons in the fire' at all times and patience is not my strongest suit. I have to admit the hardest part about raising these beautiful Toy/Mini Aussies is getting started! The research is wonderful, I can't get enough! Then comes the selection of a beloved puppy, in my case the 'puppy waiting list'. If a person is 'at the right place at the right time' you may come across an older female dog that can hopefully walk you through your first litter without difficulties. I have been so lucky with my first litter, but I now feel as though I have skipped some essential first steps by not showing my female as a puppy and gaining championship titles at least in conformation. It is not to just win awards, but to reassure you, as a breeder, that you have selected a quality animal to add to your breeding program by judging her against the breed's standard. But having faith and patience will eventually pay off.
Cindy Shaykett of Boot Top Aussies is an absolute 'beginners' dream! She is my mentor, having accepted me into her 'puppy prospect program' and guiding me into a deeper understanding of this amazing breed of animal! I have learned an incredible amount about the breed with her help in a short amount of time. I have every confidence in Cindy's judgement of what a Toy/Mini Aussie should represent. With this faith and some forced patience on my part, she has an outstanding little female puppy waiting for me. I cannot say too much, less I put a jinx on things, but she is what every breeder would dream putting into their program, much less starting out with such a specimen! I cannot wait to welcome her into our home and introduce her to you all!!!
An estimated day of arrival is May 11th. Check back for some amazing photos of her!
