Achievements:
Harrison is very bright and defines the word "biddable". His RN was completed at the '08 specialty in VA with three qualifying scores in a row earned under the age of 12 months. He also earned Best Opposite In Sweeps at the '08 specialty.
In '09 we trekked back to his birth state of WI for the Fox River FSC specialty as well as the FSSA national. Entered in a total of six shows, Harrison won the Open Dog class five times (losing once to kennel mate Dodger!) won Reserve Winners Dog at *BOTH* specialties, and a *huge* 5-point major/BOW at the Waukesha KC show the day after the national.
In July '10 we travelled to CO where Harrison had the dubious distinction of earning yet another RWD at the national, and a 4-point WD/BOW to finish his CH the day after the specialty.
I believe Harrison has the unique distinction of being the only Field Spaniel to have earned three Best In Show designations: UKC, IABCA, and NCA. I'd love to have him add AKC and CKC BIS wins to that already impressive list!
He is extremely fun to train, and will continue on in advanced rally while we work on our agility titles.
Special thanks to his breeder Cheryl Benedict in entrusting this special boy with me. In all my years training dogs I have never encountered such a willing dog so eager to please and get it "just so".
Harrison has also produced two litters to date and I am very pleased with the results. His puppies share his zest for life, biddability, and loving nature (as well as an obsession for retrieving!)
