Dobenaire Boarding Kennel and Cattery is situated just east of Northam, just a short distance off the Great Eastern Hwy. We are approx 100 km east of Perth. Nestled in the beautiful Avon Valley in a pictuesque little town called Grass Valley. Our State of The Art Kennels were built in 1997 in the style of an Old American style barn.
Designed and built for maximum warmth in Winter and Coolness in the warm Summer months, ensuring our Guests total comfort during their stay. What really makes our Kennels second to none is the individual care and attention offered to each guest during their stay with us, as the slogan goes, You Leave Em, We Love Em, is much more than just our motto. The standards we set in place here at Dobenaire are very high, we believe all dogs are individuals and must be treated as such. When dogs are brought to us for boarding they need more than ever, love, attention and care as they would be accustomed to at home. We also ensure our guests have adaquate exercise, either in one of our two large grassed exercise areas, or on the six surrounding acres of grassed land, fully fenced and secure, shaded by beautiful gum trees. All Guests enjoy going out twice a day, some choose to stretch and relax in the shade, while others enjoy some fast and furious exercise. Others like to enjoy a game of ball or a sedate stroll around the peaceful shady grounds, it's their choice.
We cater for most Dietary needs, specializing in the very popular B.A.R.F. diet, which we have fed our Dobermanns for the past 20 years. For those of you not familiar with this well known diet, its name stands for Bones and Raw Food. All fed fresh, with vegies and meat, eggs, fish, vits and minerals with only human consumption quality food and meat ever used.
We care for all breeds shapes and sizes, we have 28 Dog kennels and 6 Cat appartments, any more than this and it would be impossible to offer the high standard of care offered to each individual guest.
All bedding is provided during your Pets stay, they all have suspension beds with a warm comfortable doona, changed as required. Our Guests enjoy room service with Dog Kennels and Cat appartments cleaned on a daily basis, meals served daily or twice a day as Guests require, Medications and treats dispensed as required. When dropping off your pet just let us know their requirements and we are more than happy to accomodate their needs. If your pet has a favorite bed please feel free to bring it along, please note, double and queen size beds will not fit in to the kennel comfortably, sorry. Pets may also bring along their favorite blankets, toys and treats.
All our Guests MUST be up to date with their Vaccinations and Worming. We require a current vaccination Certificate or receipt from your Vet.
All Guests must be booked in prior to the dates required, bookings should be made well in advance to avoid disappointment due to no vacancies.
We welcome Kennel and Cattery inspection by appointment only. We are here to care for the guests in our CARE, and must put aside time from these duties to show you around, so please ring us in advance so we can show you around and answer any questions you may have.

We have times set aside for the drop off and pick up of Guests.
