And you may even find that new family member that you have
been looking for!
BEAGLES
At Jim Fork Creek we raise Beagles, and Puggles! Some of our
Beagles are rabbit hunters. Others would rather lay on the porch
and be family pets - those girls are the ones that I have chose to
be moms to my Puggle puppies! Our Beagles are loving little
hounds who enjoy being around people! Our dogs are mostly tri-
color or lemon/white color.
PUGS
Our Pugs are perfect little clowns! They get along great with
other dogs and pets. I don't think that I have ever seen a dog that
enjoys playing in water as much as my Pugs do! In the summer
time I keep a little wading pool out in the yard for them to play in.
I get the biggest enjoyment out of watching them tuch their tails
between their legs, hunker up and run circles around me, and
whatever else is close by - they remind me of little barrel racers.
Pugs are pretty agile to be such stocky little dogs.
PUGGLES
Our Puggles are a cross between a Beagle and a Pug. Playful
and loving, they get the desire to please from both the Beagle
and Pug. They are low maintenance, requiring just an
occasional bath, ear cleaning and nail trimming. Puggles thrive
on the laughter of their family. You may find that your little
Puggle will find ways to clown so that he can make you laugh.
Our Puggles tend to stay between 16-25 pounds as adults and
12-14 inches at the shoulders. They are sturdy enough to make
a good playmate for a child. Puggles love children and are
wonderful little family dogs. Whether your family enjoys hiking
and swimming or snuggling infor a good movie or snooze in front
of the tv, a Puggle will enjoy being their with his family.
CARLIN PINSCHERS
The Carlin Pinscher is a developing breed. A purebred dog is one
that has a pedigree of many, many generations. Most Carlins
have only one or two generations of documentation.
For a developing breed, Carlin Pinschers are very similar in
appearance. Our first generation (F1) cross of Miniature Pinscher
and Pug puppies resemble miniature boxers and miniature rott-
weilers. They average 12-14 pounds and are 11-13 inches tall.
These little dogs have the sturdier bone structure of the Pug.
Less breathing problems are due to the longer nose of the Min-
Pin. The Carlin Pinscher should be protected from the cold. His
compact size makes him a good choice for apartment life.
The color being bred for is black and tan. The first generation
puppies are usually solid in color. The marked puppies are from
second and third generation breedings.
This is an even-tempered breed. They are patient, playful and
have an outgoing, loving personality.
The Carlin's smooth, short-hair is easy to groom. Wiping him
down with a damp cloth or wet wipe keeps shedding to a
minimum.
