Sumo at 8 months of age this past summer, drinking in the kiddie pool
Achievements:
The top picture is NEW of Sumo, taken just this past week(Sept.08) and the second one was taken when he was just a puppy at 8 months of age...My how time has flown by...Sumo is now the proud papa of his first litter of Mastiff puppies as well as Famous for siring the First Ever, Wolf/Mastiff Cross puppies, now 8 months old themselves and as large as he was at that age, if not larger(Grizzy, his son). I've also added new pictures of him at play in his gallery"more pictures".
Sumo is one of the last 3 son's of one of my best brindle females, Kordsmeiers Sweet Semper Fi(that died this past year,07,during testing for her OFA(anesthesia reaction)at just 3 years of age and Kordsmeiers Triple Shot Hoss, an own son of CH.sired Castle Creek Double Shot. Even though she never had a problem we decided to go ahead and get her tested, since her babies will be going into the show ring and just happened to be that one in a hundred, that lost a family member, that can never be replaced.
Sumo has been special since the day he was born...Great size,width,mass,topline,head,pigmentation,angulation,you name it, he has it, including the height. He travels like a big Lion and is as agile as they come. He is expecting his first litter of show babies, the end of Feb., early March to none other than, Kordsmeiers Silver Harley, last daughter of monster,apricot,and import, Sir Ashton Jake"A.J.", a full 36"tall at the shoulder male that was as perfect as they come and deceased, Bernie(grand-daughter of CH.Semper Fi Groppetti Gargoyle)..Both of these dogs are from the finest CH.Linebred dogs in the world and their puppies are absolutely awesome and of the old type, exactly what was intended.
Sumo already stands 35"tall at just a year of age and he's filling out like the Mastiff's of old, long,massive and very thick, yet athletic as can be. He is no couch potato and prefers to run,jump and play all the time.
