Kussmaul is the perfect Mastiff Female save one thing, I'd like to see a little more pigmentation on her ears, other than that, I wouldn't change a thing as she's an absolute dream.
Broad,Massive,Depth of body like a 4 year old(instead of just a babe), perfect tail set, head symmentry to die for, muscled more like a Quarter Horse than dog and a personality that grips you from the moment you meet her.
Her dam was a pick puppy due me, from an outside breeding to a fantastic Apct.female from IN. out of my brindle stud, Sir Walter's Hank(Gargoyle grandson) and her sire, is non other than my pick of the litter male out of Bernadette Tigress(Bernie) and Samson XXXVI . I have 3 siblings, all from different litters and each of them are what Mastiff Fanciers dream of or spend the rest of their lives trying to breed and get. I know, I've been there.
Kussmaul is expecting her very first litter and this will be the litter to watch for, as she has been crossed with her Full/Brother, Kordsmeiers Semper Fi Prince Sambo. A fantastic brindle stud that I believe is going to change my program forever and the Mastiff gene pool in time...He will contribute attributes that have been long gone in this breed and I'm very excited to see the fruits of my labor of love, in their new litter, due mid to late Feb. 08...
I am putting Kussmauls sire and dam in her pictures, even though, they are no longer here but in FL.( one of the big mistakes of my life) that haunt me to this day. They are truly great dogs and members of my family that never new what the inside of a kennel looked or felt like, until the day they left.
Kussmaul's dam (mother), Kordsmeiers Queen Kussmaul has been OFA's and OFEL Tested but to my knowledge, Samuel has yet to have his done. They are sound in body,mind and soul, tough as the Champions they were founded by many years ago.
I am taking deposits now for puppies from their litter and to be perfectly honest, these puppies are not pets or pet quality...They have been bred for a purpose , i.e; to stamp in their perfect attributes and to improve the genetics of other Mastiffs that are missing a certain something, be it, mass,depth,toplines,heads,girth,tailsets,bone,and yes, pigmentation(as both Kussmaul and Sambo are black/brindles) crossed for maximum color pigmentation.
I have worked tirelessly and studied everything I could get my hands on pretaining to genetics and NO, I am no expert in Genetics but I do know enough to further their cause without any fear, from my many years of breeding and studying bloodlines of those that have came before them and us. The work has been done before but somewhere, somehow, it has been lost along the way and now we have to bring it back and repeat what worked for hundreds of years, safely, and with this great breed's best interest at heart, Always and Foremost.
I am dedicated, heart and soul to these great dogs and I am looking for those special few out there, that are as dedicated as myself to push ahead and put them back where they so deserve to be....Like the Lion is to the cat, the Mastiff is to the dog.
